The Cottage.

The cottage in which we had the pleasure of staying for the next three days was just right. It was both quaint and comfortable.

I stayed in this room upstairs in the bed closest to the camera view.

There were all kinds of plants surrounding the cottage that added to the beauty of the property and many of the flowers had very pleasant scents!

The whole area was good for the body, mind and spirit!

Day 1 Took a Plane to Maine

 

Thanks to two generous friends I found myself flying to Portland Maine on May 30th. It was an early morning flight and the plane rose with sun as we left Tampa International.

We had a 3 hr. layover in New York and then it was on to Maine.

The air travel was smooth and uneventful and after landing in Portland I knew that most of the future movement would be by boat and golf cart.

Upon arrival in Portland we took a harrowing cab ride courtesy of an energetic Somali man and eventually made it to the ferry terminal. But not before feasting on an “Italian” featured in the image below!

If you find yourself fresh off a flight to Portland and want to refuel I highly recommend one. They can be procured from Amato’s.

Or destination for the weekend was a comfy little cottage on the South West coast of Great Diamond Island. More about that tomorrow!

Ecuador!

This will be a real adventure. I will miss everyone I am crazy about and look forward to returning with amazing tales. God sees us all everywhere we are every second all at the same time. God is our true connection, our common origin and most of all our perfect Father. This planet is His creation and there is no place we can go that we should not feel at home and in His presence.

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
(Act 26:18)

I am grateful to know the truth of the gospel and anyone who wants it can have it. We speak the Word with complete reliance on the Spirit of God to draw those He has chosen. Yes or No and away we go.

My Brother In Greece!

Hey brodo!!!!

Greetings from the edge of the Aegean Sea! Tell mama I love her and dad too. Mother would love this place. Linda Shop is amazing and you my friend would not be able to stop capturing images. The island is more than I expected. I have not been able to wet my line yet due to meeting and greeting the Greeks, but I should be able to wet my line tomorrow. Looking forward to fishing next to the ancient Greek boats. The festive atmosphere of the parade last night was inspiring. They seem to think there is a coralation between dynamite and the Christ child. I have had octapus tentacle and shrimp that we would call lobsters, they were huge. The atmosphere in the town square is jovial. Watching the endless amount of mototcycles and mopeds drive by, each driver and passenger is more consumed with fashion than the other. But you will get to experience that for yourself when you and mom come. Just a quick note to let you know everything is going splendedly. Love you guys, tell Odis we miss him.

It wasn't a dream after all!

We had a little Bolivia team reunion this evening and it was so pleasant to be back with so many of my fellow travelers. To top it all off the Missionary family who took great care of us in Cochabamba were there! It was strange to see them in the states after having only known of them from South America. I cannot fully explain why it just seem to make the whole dream like trip the reality I often times try to convince myself it was.


These memories grow evermore dear to me as time passes and I thank God for the privilege of having traveled to this fantastic country in the name of Jesus.


I will Lord willing go on another mission trip soon. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

I am still soaking in the Cochabamba experience. What a life enhancing adventure. If you are provided with the opportunity to participate in a short term mission trip I encourage you to respond whole heartedly. Be daring and put yourself in the hands of God completely. You will be enhanced in ways you cannot anticipate.
