Back To School

Had a photo shoot at a local school and it was packed with action. It was fun to reflect on what it was like when I was in school.

We’re All Gonna Die!

We are headed for a new year my friends. As time passes, we need look no further than the devices our forefathers constructed to mark its steady and unrelenting march. Now time is life and when your time is up you life on this earth will cease as you once knew it. Fear not Jesus has a place for you with Him beyond this blink of an eye.

Do you ask yourself questions?

Why do I exist? Why people do “evil” things? Where did everything that is come from? How does my heart keep beating? What is death? What will come of me after I die? Why I have to clip my toe nails at least twice a month?

If you have not asked and begun to find answers for these questions start with this question. Why do I avoid seeking who and why I am?

2006 wow, I pray it will be the most meaningful year of our lives to date. There will come a moment in this process of time when God the creator of time will declare that there should be time no longer. It’s a mystery and a comfort to know that my Father in heaven knows more than me. He even knows more than those people who say they know how but can never answer the question why.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
John 15:12-14

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
James 4:14

LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.
Psalm 39:4-7

Your gonna die why not try to find some meaning before it happens? You will be richly rewarded!

Finishing Touches

Mother chose this light fixture to go with the yellow, brown and green theme of her room. It looks great shining from the ceiling!

I have seen these but never used them. The bed I made needed something more so I bought this and I have to tell you it work like a dream.

Here is the result of using the above mystery tool. Very authentic wood grain on an otherwise boring single tone head board!

Decisions Decisions

That reminds me,

How many times in my life have I determined to do a thing that I knew would end badly but for the sake of my own fleeting pleasure I just went right ahead?
Far to many, and it has never been worth the trouble. I have learned well that I do not have the answer to what is best for me conscerning even some of the smallest opportunities in my travels through life.

Romans 7:14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. 16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good. 17 So then it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot do it. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me. 21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inmost self, 23 but I see in my members another law at war with the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin which dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I of myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
So what to do when you discover you are helpless to find a lasting peace on your own? So glad you asked. It is only in Jesus: His life, His death, His word, His love for you and I.
He is either the savior of the world or a figment of someone's wild imagination. If he is God His Words will not let you down.

Matthew7:7 "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will
be opened.
