Another Halloween is upon us!

Halloween in the old days

We have our candy with the gospel ready for all the souls who will visit our home while trick or treating!

Halloween in the old days

It is a family tradition started by my father who has been away with the Lord for the last five years. I find great satisfaction is carrying on in his stead until we are all together again in the Kingdom to come.

Halloween in the old days

I thank God for dad. He really did his best and to this day we all can say there was never a time when we did not know that he loved us with all his heart.

Making The New Year’s Card

We live in a world that would astound and delight Mr. Gutenberg. This is a time when individuals can be publish all by themselves and at incredible speed. Even now the hard copy is going by the wayside and being replaced by the small screen. There will however never be a replacement for the handwritten word.

Trick or Treat Tract

02

How about a little truth with that treat. The Word of God is either true or it ain’t. Like everything we encounter in this life of ours we have decisions to make. Is Jesus who He says He is or not. This is the most important question since the beginning of time. He is either our creator or he is another of histories long succession of raving lunatics. You get to be the judge while you heart is beating but after that He will judge the living and the dead.

As humans we cannot claim to be responsible for our own existence so we seek to know the reason for our being. I believe the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is my Father and His Word is the Bible. He has done in my life everything He said he would do as a result of my trusting Him. He has set be free from the bondage of sin and brought light into what was my dark little world!

New Year Cards

The New Year cards have been posted so get ready to receive one....maybe. They will have colorful stamps featuring either a creature from the “Southern Florida Wetlands” or one of the “Wonders of America Land of Superlatives”.

I will try to post an image of the card after everyone has received theirs so I do not ruin the surprise. Boy, oh, boy am I pleased with myself.

Owls of Higher Learning

The internet is an astonishing mover. A couple of years ago I yanked some baby owls out of the box I built them in the front yard. They were not please with me to say the least but I didn't let those superior and condemning eyes detour me from taking a whole bunch of baby owl photographs. I was pleased with the result but I am sure that those owls resent the experience to this very day.

Well Owls I have good news. You guys are now serving the higher education community at The University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. It turns out that one KJ Moffatt found you on the SXC while perusing for images to include in the schools web site and brochures. Here is how it went down.

Truly amazing to think that the internet has, in it's weird and wonderful way, serendipitously transported a couple of lovable little owls from my front yard in Tampa, Florida over the ocean to the UK. A simple image taken for my own enjoyment becomes a useful tool for a school in Bristol. This is the type of story that in earlier generations would have deemed so fantastic as to have been worthy of an H.G. Wells science fiction short story.

Captive Audience

In an effort to make the best use of a captive audience I regularly place select propaganda on the rear window of the family van. Working part time at a sign shop comes in quite handy for this endeavor.

I have placed several messages on the van over the last year or so. These include:

• WHO IS JESUS?
• Vitametavegimin
• Ronald Reagan Memorial
• And presently Henry the Explorer

It is my hope that these little messages give people some amusement as they sit in their vehicles behind me. At the very least elicit a little joy or long supressed rage.
