McCamping 14

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Psalms 133:1

Once again in this passing time we all came together at Fort Desoto to spend a couple of undistracted days under a chilly blue sky! I had a sublime time!

We had some new families join us and several of the regulars were back as well. As always there were lots of smiling face wandering from one adventure to another.

The Raccoons were out in force and this year there were lots of rats. I could hear them running through the palms as I drifted off to sleep in my hammock! Sweet dreams!

It was chilly this year but it made for a cozy time.

We would return to the fire for warmth if we got chilled!

Every meal was like a pot luck and as anyone who spends time in the outdoors knows food just tastes better!

I brought at studio light along with a battery I just purchased and had loads of friendly folks who patiently allowed me to test it on them.

A big thank you once again to this family for bringing folks together with grace and humility. There are plenty of misfits like me around and God puts these people in our lives as a physical expression of his love for us! Until next time live for His Glory!

McCamping 13

Last weekend was the 13th camping trip at Fort Desoto campground and was well attended by many church families and friends.

It was a time of relaxing fellowship and the weather was spectacular.

McCamping 12

Great time is the chilly weather with lots of friends that is what it was. This is number 12 for me as the years roll by. They are always a great time of fellowship! Thank you to everyone who makes it possible!

Fort Desoto camp ground is such a great place to have family camping adventures. Just enough nature without being to primitive for the more civilized among us.

There was lots of food …… oh yeah!

There was also a great tree for my nest! I found out with some help from some folks at Dave’s Garden forum that this tree is a Conocarpus aka Buttonwood Mangrove!

No one missed church on Sunday. And history was made when Sean lost a baby tooth!

McCamping 11

Beautiful weather, friends as close as family and good old Fort Desoto Park.  God is so good to us in the fallen world and to think He promises us a place with Him when our time here is through!

I set up my hammock on Friday evening and had a cozy night swaying in the chilly breeze under warm blankets  in the light of a full moon!

There was lots of good food.

The next day we all had plenty of relaxed fun.

If you do not know Jesus tell Him you would like to meet Him and He will show you who you are!

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

There were parrots there as well.

McCamping 10 Was Yee Haaaw

There was a great turnout for McCamping 10 and all I saw were smiling faces! Everyone got to play with fire and we all ate very well!

I cannot wait until McCamping 11 I hope we have even more of you friendly folks along!

McCamping 9 Was Fine!

McCamping was spectacular and chocked with adventures. It was overcast and pleasant the entire duration. For those of you who were not able to attend you have my sympathies. Here is the next best thing to being there.
