The “Homeless” label has little meaning.

There are places not far from most folks backyards where people live outside the laws that govern a civilized society. These are exciting places to visit but dangerous.

It is a hard life on the fringe. Not counting the mentally ill it is always a series of bad choices that reap this reward. Most folks you find living in these conditions have had to reject the help of numerous individuals and organizations.

It is always a strange mix of items that can be found in these makeshift encampments. Like little landfills scattered through out any community.

Interesting to contemplate that a person or multiple people have brought each and every item. Most of the energy expended was all for naught. VHS cassettes carried here from who knows where with no hope of being able to view them.

Bananas that are only a little past ripe show that someone has been here very recently. The personal belongings bag ais evidence that an individual has had a trip to the emergency room.

There is a very dark side to these little anarchy zones. If you have ever cautiously wandered these hideaways there are always signs of minds caught up in darkness.

The worship center. We were all created to worship. They object of our worship is left to our choosing.

The objects of supreme affection worth giving up everything to pursue. Just simple chemical compounds with the short term effect of dulling the pain momentarily. The sacrament's of the streets.

It is not often that the identity of the an individual living in these hideaways is every known. As mentioned this man’s recent visit to the hospital and his medical records left scattered about the pile of refuse reveal who he is and his relationship with law enforcement over the years.

John has been inconvenienced by  law enforcement  for a number of alleged offenses.
  1. Cocaine possession on three occasions.
  2. Open container.
  3. Prowling / Loitering.
  4. Breaking into a vending machine.
  5. Burglary of an occupied dwelling.
  6. Car burglary / selling stolen property.
The reality of our sin nature and it’s effects on this earth.
