I went on a stroll to the library this morning when what to my wandering eye should appear but this tragic scene. Road kill or in this case Toad kill.
The most compelling aspect of this particular victim was the very humanoid pose in which she came to rest.
Another odd happening occurred on my return from the library. As I passed this power pole a rather straggly squirrel scampered down form the middle and into the steel collar at the base.
Now I mention this because I am unaccustomed to seeing squirrels hide in tight places near the ground. Most squirrels head up rather than down and I do not ever recall a squirrel taking refuge in a place near the ground with only one way in and one way out.
GREAT Diagram!!! Nice little walk too!! The poor frog, and that little guy on the power pole... How on earth did he fit in there??? Great picture!!! It took me a second to see what I was looking for. LOL
