Canon SD500
I have a confession to make. I have been the owner of a Canon SD500 for the last few weeks and the images used in the last dozen or so posts have been captured with said.
I have desired a quality compact for quite some time. The reason for this desire is as follows. My Nikon D70 is too large and to conspicuous to carry all the time. My only reservation beside parting with the sweet cash was image quality. The SD500 has 7 megapixels and it is serving the intended purpose in style. I originally wanted the Casio z750 and would still prefer its wide range of manual controls but I felt uneasy about the camera after reading so many reviews claiming a design flaw in the lens causing a lens error.
The SD500 is a tank and I have little worry of it failing. A small whine in the audio of recorded movies is about my only complaint.
