Chrysalis Tree!
Several years ago I planted a few Milk Weed plants. I did some research and discovered that Milk Weed is the food plant for the Monarch Butterfly Caterpillar. Needless to say it worked like a charm!
Now a Monarch Chrysalis is a beautiful thing and before long I found a great way to display them in my room! The Chrysalis is reminiscent of Jade and has lovely little gold accents. I found that I could collect them from the fence and the branches of plants Etc where the caterpillar had chosen to form them and reattach them to a single branch using hot glue.
For the next couple of weeks I would wake up and glance over at the Chrysalis tree to find a new beautiful Monarch to carefully carry outdoors to release. What an amazing God who has created everything and Loves us!

This is so neat! Connor would love to have one of those in his room. He loves nature. He had to tell me what a chrysalis was. He was talking about them one day and I was like,"what is that"?? Shows my ignorance but who says you can't learn from your children. I think sometimes they teach us more then we teach them!
ReplyDeleteYour Butterfly tree brightened my spirits today :)

4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
Psalms 30:4-6
Go find you some little people and give them a squeeze :)
Great idea man. I would never have thought about this. Gonna have to try it.
