Summer time in Tampa Bay whoo it is hot. Mama Squirrel needs herself a tiny window air conditioning unit. She has insisted on using the Owl house as her abode for these last two years. She is a real trooper and is still coming to the window to solicit the occasional handful of peanuts.

ReplyDeleteAWWW!! That is the cutest thing I've ever seen! :) I absolutely LOVE squirrels! It was 100 outside the other day and my step dad watched a mamma squrrel carry each and every one of her babies to a cooler spot. The path was all off the ground and seemed SO long! He had never seen a squirrel act so slow and labored before.
ReplyDeleteAfter about 30 minutes, he left a bowl of water and chestnuts right where he knew she'd be walking. She drank and ate almost all of it! It was so cute!

Great story about your step dad he had a great idea! It is so much fun to watch what those crazy little critters will do when you offer up some treats!

Best thing to do with those pesky humans who like to try and stir things up is to delete their messages without even acknowledging that they were made.
That approach kinda squashes their attempts to get attention!
