Freezing weather they say. Tonight it will freeze. The plan was to wake up at 4:00am and turn on the water. Both the hose in the front yard and in the back yard were placed with care so as to direct a misty spray into the trees.
4:00am and the bird baths are still in their liquid state. This freeze is not going to happen. I was looking forward to recreating some magic from my childhood. I will never forget the results when my father and I left a hose spraying water on the gazebo in the front yard. The morning revealed a site this Florida boy had never before witnessed.
Who could have believed that the weather could actually get cold enough to freeze water into sheets and sickles?
There is still hope or for those with gardens despair. Maybe we will have a hard freeze yet and I can get some frozen photos!
Sounds like you have had plenty of icicle experience. Thank you for the input. I never gave it much thought being a Florida boy from birth but I imagine that those very large iciles could really be life threatening.
