There are two new chickens in the coop today. I brought them back from the Lake City show at the Columbia County Fair Grounds. I am limited as to the number of Chicken I can own so my strategy has been to acquire a collection of unique and funny breeds. Here are the two new ones!

That cochin hen is gorgeous!! Olive Oil is also a cutie, but I have a soft spot for blue puffballs. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is a funny little puffball for sure. She actually fell very sick two days after we brought her home and we were sure she would not make it. Several days later and alot of tlc and she is strutting around the back yard with the other girls and settleing in very well. I will tell her you approve of her puffyness :)

Poor little thing was probably stressed out. I'm glad she's feeling better! :) Isn't it funny how much bigger the standards are? I can't believe it when my Tina (bantam partridge cochin) and Shelby (Pot Pie's twin) stand next to each other!
