Dr. Doug and I went on an underwater adventure today. We drove from Tampa to Riviera Beach near West Palm to go diving with Jim Abernethy charters. It was quite a nice location and the vessel and crew did a great job and I would definitly go with them again. We set out on Jim's smaller boat "Deep Obsession" to do two dives. The first was called the corridor and was a drift at about 80' past a few wrecks and some building rubble. Play the briefing below.
The second was a reef at about 70' with a surprising amount marine life! Play the briefing below.
Here is the experience we had underwater!
To add to the whole mystic of the story here are a couple of articles of divers who have not survived their trips.
The moral of this story is diving is dangerous so make very sure you and your loved ones are prepared for any eventuality that may occur while going on a diving adventure. No charter operator on the planet wants to loose clients but you must be aware that no matter how good the operation is you bare the bulk of the responsibility for your ouw well being.
Accidents can and do happen and you must prepare to deal with them. The more risk you take the more risk you will be injured or killed. Of course the risks are what produce the greatest rewards so be wise out there and willing to deal with the consequences if you make risky dives! If you want to feed the sharks you just might feed the sharks.
