Little Bench

Today I made a small bench out of wood I salvaged months ago from a trash pile. I wanted the bench to minimal and made it with braces that cause the downward force to balance the pressure against each side of either leg.

It works and I have a great sense of accomplishment. Simple design and materials are the most rewarding to work with. The salvaged wood once held paint and hardware for the school behind our home. Now it will hold our families keisters.

21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:21-24

It was destined for the trash heap but now will serve a valuable purpose.

Never in history has a human ever created anything. We can only re-assemble what God has provided using the talent & materials He has given!
