CPR

Time to lock lips with some polyvinyl chloride all it the name of saving lives of course. Today we had a great course on CPR!

Lt. Joel Granata expertly instructs us in life saving procedures we all hope we will never need to put into practice.

Infant CPR takes a lighter touch so here I am, Mr. heavy handed himself, collapsing the vinyl foam chest cavity of a simulated infant.

What to do about a choking victim just watch as Mrs. Tracy and Mrs. Helen flawlessly perform the Heimlich maneuver to the delight of all in the room!

An AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) device was expertly demonstrated as well and what an amazing little piece of life saving technology these are.

The machine literally talks you through the entire process of reestablishing a normal heart beat in a patient suffering from cardiac arrest.

The view as I cross over the bridge from Davis Islands to Tampa proper. When I think of the 10 years we have been caring for children at our church I have to pause and give God praise for His protection. In all that time we have had no life threatening events to speak of among the hundreds of children who have grown up under the churches care!

  1. Thank you to all who participated, it's a comforting feeling to know our children are in safe hands.
