These are the colorful leaves of the Tallow tree. My mother artfully arraged them in a pile and then fetched me to snap an image. We planted this Tallow tree from seed approx four years ago and it has grown at an amazing rate. It is not a native species and is a pest in most cases but we love our plucky herb.
