Early or Late Asleep or Awake
Found this ad in the local yellow pages can you guess what it is selling? Look at the happy smiling young ladies. They are at the beach and they are so happy. I would seem that they haven’t a care in the world! Who has placed this lovely ad in the yellow pages and what do they have to offer these happy girls? Their little slogan just above the last girls image states,” They treat me like I matter”.
Scroll down to see the complete ad.
This place does it all. If you are having sex like a rabbit this is your full serve baby prevention center. They will even help ease the effects of your STDs. They even have student and military discounts! Abortion never looked so fun or seemed so right. Ladies maybe it is time to add an abortion to your list of guilty pleasures.
I do not want abortions to happen. The abortion industry is profitable because folks are so lazy and shallow they will not even take the simple steps necessary to prevent a pregnancy.

Wow!! You totally floored me with that one. I was expecting an ad for a dentist. I dont even know what to say other than this is one sick and demented ad. The tone and manner in which it is presented goes beyond offensive but I guess that and other reasons why you have blogged about it. Unfortunate this ad exist but Im glad you brought it out.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your summation. Everyone knows abortion is easily available and perfectly legal I was just taken aback by the macabre way these folks choose to advertise.
ReplyDeleteProctologists do not advertise their services with folks smiling with delight at the prospect of a rectal exam. I know of no one who chooses to have a medical procedure of any kind as though it were something to look forward to with smiles and delight.
Sorry Karry, I think you blew it on this one. No where in Billy's post does he debate or dispute the issue of abortion or a womans right to have one. You may have chosen to make your commentary based on his Christian beliefs, so you may have assumed that he voiced his opinion on the issue. Not the case, he as well as I only commented at the repugnant way the advertisement presented itself of which Billy put so eloquently. You may have also felt the opportunity to voice YOUR opinion on the subject since you mentioned stepping off the podium. No one preached here, only you.
ReplyDeleteEek. I think I'll stay out of this heated debate. I worship christ, so I think that tells you where I stand. But I have known a few people that are close to me that have had one. It's s very touchy subject and it's pretty disturbing how they are marketing it.
ReplyDeleteKarry: I appreciate your input and willingness to be outspoken about your convictions. We are all seeking the truth together and challenging each other in love is a great way to test our own ideas and beliefs!
ReplyDeleteThank you again for expressing yourself.
BlackOps: Thanks for the defence. I didn't take Karry's comment as agressive or condecending.
As for you HG, I am outraged. Your comment is out of bounds, I resent your deceptive and erroneous statement and I move that it be stricken form the record. Not only do I move that it be stricken from the record but Mr. President let the record show that Madam HG has spoken out of turn and for purely political reasons. :)
I know I know Billy but I calls em as I see em. I didnt want to be as aggressive as it sounded but I guess thats how it came out. And Humah, that was weak, go stand in the corner.
ReplyDeleteOhh sorry Karry, again I didnt mean for my comment to sound as poignant as it may have come out. I get your meaning now. Its all good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post Billy. To me it seems like a good example of the deception of advertising (or what some call the 'world-view'). I tend to think the reality of abortion is far away from the happy smiling faces on that dvertisement.
ReplyDeleteThen again Karry, Im being very condescending.
