Go Slow

I rarely see snails but this morning I crossed ones path. The sight of a snail slowly and silently going about its business instantly brings me peace. God created a creature that is never in a hurry. This creature has two speeds slow and stopped yet it is performing the function it was designed for and God is pleased. God has a message for His people the snail illustrates quite well.

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
James 1:3-5

When we trust that it is God providing for all our needs we are truly free to take a slow and steady pace from day to day. After all isn’t this what Jesus promises His disciples?
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:29-30
I hope each and everyone has a peaceful and productive day!
