Yesterday I watched three small hawks riding thermals high above the back yard. This morning I was able to snap an image of this larger hawk in our front yard.
I never really gave it much thought but the word Hawk is not a very inspiring word outside of the magnificent creature it labels. Just goes to show a name is waht you make it.
