When you are convinced you have sought and ultimately found the Truth about everything that is and is to come you can best serve your fellow man by passing the information on.
Tonight was the night of the South Tampa fellowship children’s presentation. As I watched the little people proclaim the good news of Jesus I was swept by the same profound realization I have been in the previous ten years of this tradition. The Joy Story was one of the very first presentations Davis Islands Baptist Church undertook while still in its infancy. A child is a book containing innumerable vacant pages. These pages are destined to be filled and rapidly so. All things righteous and rotten are indelibly recorded and soon referred to make every decision in life.
This is the truth we are all messengers to everyone we come in contact with. By choosing to live our lives the way we do we influence and shape everyone around us. There is no activity helpful or harmful we engage in that will have no effect on the world. It is a popular thing to say that you will continue doing something you know is wrong because it pleases you and does not harm anyone other than yourself.
You cannot avoid being a teacher. Even in death we communicate what was most important to us in life. Long after there is no physical trace that we ever existed your philosophy and life style will carry on in those who you were close to and even those who you may have come in contact only once.
Dig for some meaning. Seek long and hard for answers. Use your noodle and investigate the validity of your family’s beliefs and values. If you start with Jesus you will save yourself some time but the important thing to remember is you cannot take my word for it you must dig it up wash it off and put it in a place of reverence in your own life. It is everyone’s challenge to discover the truth.
Jesus claims to be the way, the truth, and the life. How do you know if you can believe it? Your going to have to give Him a chance to change you life!
