Cozy Sunday

I woke up last night to roaring winds whipping past my open windows. Instantly I was transported months past and the gang of hurricanes that insisted on breezing by just to the south and east and north of Tampa. I have to say it was extra unnerving when half asleep and with no prior notice of extreme weather.

I am up and around with the clock displaying 4:58am as I turn on the television and begin searching for the weather channel the power abruptly vanishes. I go back to my room, shut the windows, hop up into the bed and begin sleeping with the hope that day break will have brought and end to the wind.

Sure enough I awake at 7:33 am and all is still. I get dressed and leave the powerless home for church. You have got to love church. I sure hope you have a church you can say you love because it is a wonderful thing. I return home with vittles on my mind. I have decided that to day there will be a fire in the fire place, the first of the year. I accomplish this task with only minimal effort and we had a fire all the way up to the return of power at 3:50 pm.

It was a wonderful and cozy day with lots of napping and some wandering of the neighborhood. A real sure enough good to be alive day!
