Trick or Treat Tract

How about a little truth with that treat. The Word of God is either true or it ain’t. Like everything we encounter in this life of ours we have decisions to make. Is Jesus who He says He is or not. This is the most important question since the beginning of time. He is either our creator or he is another of histories long succession of raving lunatics. You get to be the judge while you heart is beating but after that He will judge the living and the dead.

As humans we cannot claim to be responsible for our own existence so we seek to know the reason for our being. I believe the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is my Father and His Word is the Bible. He has done in my life everything He said he would do as a result of my trusting Him. He has set be free from the bondage of sin and brought light into what was my dark little world!

Beekeepers Veil and Domed Smoker

I recently received a V01108 Hat Veil Pullover Combo and a M01944 Domed Smoker I purchased from dadant.com which totaled $56.00. when I opened them up I was very pleased with the quality they are a real value at the price especially for beginner beekeepers!

Top Bar Hive Progress

Back in late August I moved bees from the front yard who had taken up residence in an owl house, to the back yard where I had constructed a Top Bar Bee Hive.

I was delighted to find the bees happily building comb on the first two bars!

I just received a couple tools to help me in the future and am looking forward to using them soon! A Domed Smoker and a Bee Veil both from www.dadant.com. both with shipping totaled just under $56 and I think at that price they were quite reasonable!

They Burned The Dog

 

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

I had a conversation recently. The kind of conversation that could only be at it’s height of profundity when it is with a seven year old. Some how the subject of pets came up. I think the little one brought it up to discuss the more heady topic the conversation ended with.

We have a new dog says the little person to which I reply what size is it. I am always disappointed to hear when someone gets a big dog because they are completely impractical in almost every case. The little person holds a hand about eighteen inches from the ground to indicate it is a smaller dog which pleases me greatly.

Next I hear the the previous dog was burned. What could this mean I think to myself. The child then says the doctor recommended it and that when the dog was returned to the family it was nothing more than dirt. Ah I think to myself this is profound. I quickly explain that everything is dirt and pinching the forearm of the little one I say your body is dirt, God made man from the dirt.  I say you are not your body you only live in your body for a while and then it goes back to dirt.

A little one to the left of me who had been listening in to this exchange turns to me and asks if I can get some dirt out of him.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. Giving Grow Bags A Go.

I have been looking for a cost effective container to plant vegetables in and am giving grow bags a try. They are easy to store an transport. They allow you to maintain a modular garden in which individual plant can be moved or transplanted easily.

Shaquille O'Neal at Your Pie Tampa

Today the big man Shaquille O'Neal came to Your Pie Tampa. J.D. and Marie Mosely had everything ready for his arrival and all in attendance enjoyed the gathering.

He rolled up in is blacked out squad car and proceeded into the building where he was met with cheering and basket balls to be signed!

The line formed and he patiently started sighing and posing.

I did not expect to be impressed but for a man who has to deal with so much of the cannibalism that comes with celebrity he was sincerely a joy to be around.

  

He has a wicked sense of humor to.

My Little Pony to be precise.

There was some really good food!

Here is what I consumed.

My most vivd  memory of the day is an auditory one. There was a small group of little females sitting around a table singing the my little pony theme song only the lyrics were slightly different than the original. It went a litttle something like this.

My little pony, stupid and lonley.

Stepped on a wire and now she's on fire!

There was a little goat there to, but I think it was his job to be there.
