How Does The Garden Grow?
The seeds I planted in the last few weeks are spouting quite well. Arugula, Cucumbers, Bib Lettuce, Romaine Lettuce, Carrots, Beets, Green Peas, Black Eyed Peas and Three varieties of Tomatoes are all on the future menu if these seedlings continue to thrive.
The chickens are also producing almost enough eggs now to completely supply our daily needs.
Great job girls!

Diving The Sheridan & Military Tanks
We set off from the Tierra Verde Marina on a brisk Monday morning for a day of Creation Therapy. The wreck Sheridan 27º52.578 N 083º11.150 W and a group of 10 Military tanks 27º40.690 N 082º51.810 W were our goal in that order.
Again let me say it was a bit brisk while underway.
After a bit of bouncing we reached the Sheridan hooked up to her stern and dropped in. The water temp must have been in the low 60’s and took a few minutes to forget.
The visibility was acceptable and we had a good time swimming around and thought the old 180’ tug!
Our next stop was the tanks and we had no problem hooking up. The visibility here was mediocre but that did not stop my friend and his daughter from plunging in. With the visibility low I was not very interested in video so I busied myself retrieving anchors left behind by fishermen who found then fouled on the structure cut them loose. The final count was four.
We headed back with the sun low on the horizon the time sure flew with the fun we were having! It was not long before the boat was trailored at the Ft. Desoto ramp and we were on the road for home. Thank so much Brent for making all this possible. The burdens of boat ownership are many but you bear them with grace.

Daytona Beach Shores
On a recent business excursion I had the pleasure of wandering the Daytona Beach Shores area here in Florida. I stayed over night in the Hawaiian Inn. It is currently being renovated but has a very old time feel that I really liked. One of the best things about the inn is vehicle access to beach right next door.
Driving along the beach is a real pleasure!
The next morning I was up at the crack of dawn to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic!
There were more seagulls than I have ever seen in one place.
It was a cool clear morning and a joy just to stand on the shore.

Mr. Billy goes to the Daytona International Speedway
I know so very little about Nascar but now I know a little more.
Steve Waid of www.motorsportsunplugged.com gave me a tour of the track and it is an amazing place. On the drive over I asked him about his latest endeavor.
The track is an impressive place and from the pit area you can hear the roar of the engines! Plug in some earphones and close your eyes.
I felt like a member of the media for a day with all the credentials I had in hand.

Update!! April 24, 2011
I went to see The Glass Window Movie this evening at The Press Box here in Tampa. I watched it surrounded by a bunch of the folks who were actors in the film which was really surreal.I found that I liked the movie quite well.
I got to sit with the real celebrities and I would not have it any other way. Tim Paskert organized the gathering. Here he is with some of the cast.
It was great to Tim’s vision being played out over the television.
Sean made a new friend.
I ate some of the Press Box health food!

Firewood!
This Winter I burned all the wood I collected for the season. Today I heard the sound of a chain saw about three houses down. In the front yard of a neighbors home was a neatly stacked pile of freshly cut Oak logs. I walked up and asked if I could have it and the answer was yes!!!
What a blessing a crackling fire in the fire place is in the Winter and to get a seasons worth of good Oak logs in a couple of days is a gift from God!
